DRIVELAB / LEGAL

Terms of Service

The service and its operator

DriveLab is an independently operated simulator and playtest project. The project operator is identified publicly as DriveLab and can be contacted at [email protected]. By using the service, you agree to these terms to the extent an agreement can validly be formed under the law applicable to you.

The playtest provides access to experimental software and related account, download and invitation features. Features, supported platforms, availability and playtest capacity may change during development. Access to a playtest does not promise a final release, ongoing availability or a particular future feature.

Accounts and eligibility

Provide accurate account information, use an email address or sign-in account you are entitled to control, and complete required verification. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and personal playtest key and for notifying us if you suspect unauthorized use.

If you lack legal capacity to accept these terms independently, a parent or legal guardian must authorize your participation where applicable. You must also satisfy the eligibility requirements of any third-party service you choose to use.

Playtest access and permitted use

You may use the access made available to you for legitimate simulator use, learning and playtesting, subject to these terms and any license included with a download. The operator and relevant licensors retain their rights in the software, branding and content. Open-source and other third-party components remain governed by their respective licenses.

Account registration and assignment of an access key are separate steps. A key can be subject to wave capacity, eligibility, expiry, revocation or version requirements displayed by the service. Keep your personal key private and follow the access conditions shown in your account.

Acceptable conduct

  • Do not use accounts or keys belonging to others, impersonate another person, or resell or distribute personal playtest access without permission.
  • Do not attempt to bypass access controls, disrupt servers, distribute malicious software or interfere with other users.
  • Do not manipulate referral rewards, create deceptive duplicate accounts, submit fabricated activity or automate abusive requests.
  • Respect applicable laws and the intellectual-property, privacy and other rights of others.

These conditions do not restrict rights that applicable law makes non-waivable.

Invitations and referral programs

Any invitation or referral benefit is governed by the eligibility, qualification, limits and reward conditions displayed for that program. A displayed referral or balance may require validation before it qualifies for a benefit. A balance is not a promise of cash payment unless the applicable offer expressly says so.

The operator may review and correct records affected by mistakes, duplicate accounts, ineligible activity or abuse. Contact us if you believe a qualification or correction is incorrect. Material future program changes will be communicated through the service and applied consistently with applicable law and the relevant offer.

Experimental software and availability

Playtest builds may contain bugs, incomplete behavior, performance issues or compatibility limitations. Keep copies of important local files and review the platform and release notes before installation. Simulation behavior and results should be evaluated before being relied on for real equipment, safety decisions or competition preparation.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the experimental service is provided on an “as available” basis without a promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Third-party services and brands

Authentication, hosting, downloads and linked communities may be provided by third parties, including Clerk, Google, Vercel, Cloudflare, OVHcloud, bunny.net and Discord. Their relevant terms apply to your use of their services. References to third-party brands, products or competitions do not by themselves imply affiliation or endorsement.

Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains the information used for accounts, authentication, playtest access, downloads and referrals, and how to make a privacy request. Choosing Google sign-in is optional; email-based authentication is also supported.

Access restrictions and ending use

You may stop using the service at any time and contact us about account closure or data deletion. The operator may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address a breach of these terms, security concerns, abuse, legal obligations or the end of a playtest. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and provide a way to request a review.

Changes and disputes

The effective date identifies the current version of these terms. Material changes will be communicated through the service or another appropriate channel, with any notice or consent required by applicable law. Please contact us first about a dispute so we can try to resolve it. The mandatory laws and rights applicable to you remain unaffected, including any right to bring a claim before a competent court.
